What To Do One Day Before CA Final Exam

Generally, you will have a maximum of 20 hours to study before your exam. The key to effectively using this time is to pre-plan your schedule and study material. In this article, we share some tips to help you revise efficiently in this short span.

Managing Your Time and Timetable

We’ve bifurcated the preparation tips based on practical and theory subjects. For detailed subject-wise schedules for the 1.5 days, visit our individual subject blogs!

1.5 Days for Preparation

Practical Papers (FR, SFM, Costing)

  • Go through every single concept in the textbook.
  • Refer to your mock test papers to see the mistakes and avoid repeating them.
  • Revise your formulae multiple times.
  • Prepare a list of important sums to glance through, only to understand the learnings (and not to work the numbers).
  • Go through your attempt’s RTP & MTP and then go through other RTPs, MTPs, and past papers.
  • Revise your formulae for the last time.

Theory Papers (Law, Audit, DT, IDT)

  • Use your summary notes for revision; avoid going through detailed explanations on every section.
  • Go through your attempt RTP & MTP and then go through other RTPs, MTPs, and past papers.
  • Revise your list of section/clause numbers and penalties multiple times.
  • Go through some difficult MCQ questions and case laws.
  • For DT, IDT – Avoid solving questions but make sure you scribble down a rough format for important chapter sums from memory.
  • Revise your list of section/clause numbers and penalties for the last time.

Pro Tip: Keep in mind the section-wise weightage given by ICAI.

  • Don’t cover new topics on the eve of your exam: Focus on revision instead.
  • Avoid attempting papers or solving questions on revision days: Stick to reviewing key points and summaries.
  • Skip oily meals: They may upset your stomach, make you drowsy, and ruin your mood.
  • Don’t compromise on sleep: Ensure you get 6-7 hours of rest before the exam day.
  • Avoid unnecessary stress or pressure: Stay calm and focused.

By following these tips and effectively managing your time, you can maximize your revision and approach the CA Final exam with confidence. Good luck!

"Koncept perfectly justifies what it sounds, i.e, your concepts are meant to be cleared if you are a Konceptian. My experience with Koncept was amazing. The most striking experience that I went through was the the way Yash sir and Ruchika ma'am taught us in the lectures, making it very interesting and lucid. Another great feature of Koncept is that you get mentor calls which I think drives you to stay motivated and be disciplined. And of course it goes without saying that Yash sir has always been like a friend to me, giving me genuine guidance whenever I was in need. So once again I want to thank Koncept Education for all their efforts."
